Class and Camp Refund Policy

Due to the custom nature of our classes and camps, registration fees for all classes, events & camps, including one-time classes, series classes and camps, are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend a one-time class, your registration fee is non-refundable, however you may send another student in your place if that student fits within the age parameters of the class.

If you are unable to attend an entire series (weekly/repeating) of classes or camps that you registered for, please contact us in writing to let us know as soon as possible. If cancellation is made more than four weeks in advance, a full refund will be given. If cancellation is made one to four weeks prior, a 50% refund will be given. If cancellation is made one week or less than the start of the series, or if cancellation happens after the series has started, the entire payment for the series is forfeited.

If you are unable to attend an individual class that is part of a series, or individual camp day(s), you may not send another student in place of yourself/your child unless the other person is coming for the entire series or camp. Additionally, Happy Place Cooking Space does not offer partial refunds for missed individual classes that are part of a series, or individual camp days, due to participant illness or other voluntary reasons. Please reach out to hello@happyplacecookingspace.org if you have any questions about this.

Class and Camp Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel workshops & camps if registration is below six (6) attendees. A full refund, or option to transfer your registration to an alternative class, will be given if Happy Place Cooking Space cancels a class due to low registration.

In the event classes, events or camps are prohibited by federal/state/county/city mandate (e.g. inclement weather), classes, events & camps will be canceled and an alternative date for the canceled class, event or camp will be scheduled. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled class, Happy Place Cooking Space is unable to offer a refund. A full refund, or option to transfer your registration to an alternative class, will be given if Happy Place Cooking Space is unable to provide an alternative class date.

Private Party Cancellation Policy

A deposit is due when booking your private party.  All deposits are applied to the final balance due. If you are unable to meet the minimum, the deposit will be forfeited.  If you choose to cancel your private party, you can rebook for a future date if one is available. The deposit will not be refunded, but it can be used as the deposit for a future party if a new date is selected at the time of cancellation. Please see our Party Policy Guide for complete policy information.

Liability Waiver & Photography Release

Each participant must complete a registration form, safety waiver, and photo/video release before the start of any class, event, or camp.

Photo Permission

Periodically, Happy Place Cooking Space takes photographs and video of visitors and activities for use in promotional and editorial material. By entering Happy Place Cooking Space, you give permission to Happy Place Cooking Space for the recording of photographs and video of yourself and your accompanying dependents. You grant Happy Place Cooking Space all rights to use these still or moving images for educational, promotional, advertising, and other purposes that advance the mission of Happy Place Cooking Space. All rights to the photographs and video belong to Happy Place Cooking Space. Should you wish to not be photographed or recorded, please let a staff member or the photographer know; we will certainly respect your wishes.

Food Allergies

Happy Place Cooking Space is NOT a dedicated food allergen-free space. Some of the recipes we use may contain the top nine allergens: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame. While Happy Place Cooking Space is NOT a dedicated allergen-free space, we take food allergies very seriously. We ask and encourage participants to tell us about food allergies upon registration so we can work together to make accommodations for participants or modifications to our menus. When we do make accommodations for a food allergy, we CANNOT guarantee that the food of other participants will be free from common allergens. There is always a risk of cross-contamination in a space that is not a dedicated allergen-free facility. We would love for you and/or your child to join us in the kitchen, but please make your choice of attending with this information in mind. Your safety and your child’s safety are the highest priority. If you choose to attend and/or enroll your child, you will be assuming the risk of these stated environmental conditions. Please inform us in writing at the time of registration if you or your child have food allergies or special needs.

We recognize that strict policies may not always align with real-world situations. Our goal is to maintain clarity and fairness for all our customers. If you would like to discuss your specific circumstances, please reach out to us at hello@happyplacecookingspace.org.
